STRUCTURE
Structure systems are useful tools, but unless the beats – the key moments that make up structure – are experienced emotionally, readers aren’t engaged. During interactive workshop sessions, we’ll focus on how to feel, understand, and convey the emotionality of each beat, along with how to transition between them. I’ll show you how to determine which moments belong in your story, and which don’t.
CRAFT
You'll become more fluent in the elements of scene and sequence, and learn to recognize the cause and effect relationships between events in your stories. As a result, the reader becomes a part of your narrator’s transformation, and has an opportunity to gain insight and inspiration as a result of reading your work.
PROFESSIONAL FEEDBACK
I see the potential hidden between the lines in your writing - your strengths as a writer, and how to bring out the best in you and your work. I’ll bring to light the natural intuitive abilities that make your voice unique, point out opportunities for expansion, unseen elements worth exploring, and more.
GROUP SUPPORT + ACCOUNTABILITY
Write in a safe, supportive group environment. Be inspired to keep writing on a project you’ve started, or begin something new. Get suggestions on next steps to develop your writing and specific ways to improve your writing practice.
